I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Vermont before receiving my Master of Social Work from Temple University, where I deepened my training in trauma-informed, person-centered care. My experience includes working with children and adolescents in school-based settings, supporting survivors of interpersonal violence, and helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and other challenges. These experiences have taught me that healing looks different for everyone, and that therapy should be a space where you can
show up exactly as you are.

Emily Hope Carey
I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients can show up authentically, explore their experiences without judgment, and move toward healing at their own pace. I especially enjoy working with those who have felt overlooked or disconnected from traditional therapy spaces. My approach integrates trauma-informed, somatic, and body-based care, along with ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. I am passionate about providing weight-inclusive, Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned care that supports clients in healing and growing in ways that feel authentic to them.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, making and listening to music, spending time with my nephew, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe the things that bring us joy and connection are just as important to our well being as the work we do in therapy.
